Is Outerbase a database client?

It started as a browser-based collaborative editor for Postgres / MySQL / SQLite and now leans heavily on AI app-building. Cocobox stays focused on being the best place to run, share, and AI-augment SQL day to day — without trying to also be a low-code app builder.

Does Outerbase support GitHub Copilot MCP?

Not at the time of writing. Cocobox ships a Model Context Protocol server so Copilot, Cursor, Claude Desktop, opencode, and Zed can all query your databases under scoped permissions.

Where does my data live?

In your own database — both products query your DB directly. Cocobox encrypts connection credentials with AES-256 at rest and uses session-scoped client keys. Outerbase is SOC 2 / HIPAA compliant for Enterprise tiers.
